New York, NY – November 10, 2011

This connectivity performs two main functions; it allows the hospital physicians to send orders directly from their EMR system to the imaging center’s scheduling system, and it allows the imaging center to return imaging results and links back to the physicians EMR system. Sharing results and orders is critical to the success of healthcare automation, improved patient care and business process optimization, including Stage 2 Meaningful Use (MU).
